Hilong Group Designated Model Safe Company by Shanghai City

Date 2014-05-16

(May 15, 2014, Shanghai) Hilong has recently been awarded the title of 2013 “Model Safe Company” by the Shanghai Comprehensive Treatment of Social Management Committee, making it one of just 2,300 qualifying Shanghai-based enterprises to receive the honor. The hard work and effort in terms of safety precautions, internal monitoring, safety investment, and accountability implementation have wielded outstanding results and received recognition from society.
For many years, Hilong has insisted on making safety a priority in all work activities. The Group incorporates safety management elements into various regulatory systems and management documents by connecting safety accountability systems directly with evaluations. With the Hilong HSE Committee in place, its strong leadership, safety education and management have seen ongoing improvements as safety inspections become more routine and notices improve staff safety awareness.

In response to important national events and measures to protect against flooding, typhoons, and societal incidents, the Group has conducted important deployments aimed at maintaining stability and safe work conditions at all companies through the establishment of emergency response teams and provision of emergency rescue training. Each company now has first-aid staff, with regularly organized emergency response evacuation drills, strict inspection of safety management, and prevention of blind corners, all of which are powerful steps taken toward the elimination of various safety hazards.

“The selection standards for this most recent honor are very high, with detailed requirements for all aspects of general governance work,” said Cao Hongbo, executive deputy director of Hilong HSE Committee, “at the same time as we were attaining the municipal ‘Model Safe Company’ title, we have also been gaining additional valuable experience in general governance and safety management, all of which are beneficial to further improvements.”
